When the heroes are younger than heroines

The hero romances with knee-aged heroines are often seen on the screen. Many heroines have shared their screen time with heroes twice their age.
Again, the opposite picture has been seen in Dhaka’s film industry. Here the heroines have romanced on screen with the hero who is almost younger than herself.
Although the age gap of the heroes and heroines is discussed, the audience is not very interested in this matter.
They want a strong storyline, mind-blowing dialogues, soul-stirring songs and the presence of their favourite stars in the movie.
It has been seen in the crowd that the chemistry of the hero-heroine pair on the screen is not a barrier to age.
Many times the audience does not know that the hero who is acting with the beloved heroine is much younger than the heroine.
Ilias Kanchan worked with Babita for the first time in the movie ‘Bashundhara’ directed by legendary director Subhash Dutt in 1977. The movie became super hit.
After that, they were also seen in the movies ‘Dumurer Phul’ and ‘Sundori’.
In terms of age, Ilias Kanchan was six years younger than Babita. Late hero Jafar Iqbal also worked as a young hero paired with Babita. They were quite a successful pair on the screen.
Popular film actress Champa also teamed up with younger actor Manna in several movies including ‘Prem Deewana’, ‘Kashem Malar Prem’ and ‘Babar Adesh’. Those movies were super hits.
Meanwhile, at age and career Moushumi has been successful by acting with many junior heroes. Ferdous, Shakil Khan, Shakib Khan also teamed up with this heroine.
On the other hand, in the movie ‘Garments Konnya’, Emon paired up with Poppy. Poppy was senior to Emon by age. Poppy also shared the screen with the younger Nirab in the movie ‘Char Akshorer Bhalobasha’.
Actress Shabnoor worked with young heroes. Zayed Khan was one of them.
Shabnoor’s last movie ‘Pagol Manush’ was released in 2018 directed by MM Sarkar. In this movie we see a new hero named Shaher Khan opposite Shabnoor. Shaher Khan was seven years younger than Shabnoor.
Meanwhile, in 2018, the movie ‘Ekti Cinemar Golpo’, directed by noted actor and producer Alamgir, was released. Kolkata’s popular actress Rituparna Sengupta paired up with Bangladeshi actor Arifin Shuvoo in this movie. Arifin Shuvoo was 10 years younger than Rituparna.
Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Yash Rohan acted in Arun Chowdhury’s movie ‘Mayaboti’. On inquiry, it is known that Yash Rohan is about eight years younger than Tisha.
Popular actress of two Bengals, Jaya Ahsan has paired up with the younger Shakib Khan in the movie ‘Purnodoirgho Prem Kahini’. That movie was super hit.
Besides, many senior heroines have got success by acting with many junior heroes. The late ‘Nayak Raj’ Razzak got Suchanda as the heroine in his first movie ‘Behula’ in 1966. Kabori was more senior than Suchanda.
Kabori made her debut in 1964 with the movie ‘Sutorang’. Kabori also paired up with Razzak and gave many successful movies to the audience.
Later, stars like Farooq, Ujjal, Sohel Rana, Alamgir, Jasim made their debut with Kabori. Kabori was the senior of all of them in terms of career.
