SCC announces Tk 925 crore budgets for fiscal Year 23-24

Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury has announced the budget of Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) for the fiscal year 2023-2024 of Tk 925 crore 4 lakh 49 thousand.

SCC Mayor announced the budget at a press conference held at an elite convention hall in South Surma’s Chandipool area Sylhet on Thursday.

The prepared budget mentions income and expenditure equally.

The significant revenue sectors in the budget are – Holding tax Tk 4835 lakh 76 thousand, immovable property transfer tax Tk 25 crore, building construction and reconstruction tax Tk 2250 lakh, trade license Tk 10 crore 45 lakh, advertisement Tax 2 crore 50 lakhs, name change fee and renewal fee of various market shops 80 lakh rupees, contractor registration and renewal fee 30 lakh rupees, lab test fee 60 lakh rupees, bus terminal lease income 2 crore rupees, trucks Income from terminal lease is Tk 50 lakh, and others.
