Gold materials worth Tk.3 lakh looted in Bagerhat

A gang of armed miscreants entered forcibly in a dwelling house belonging to Ekramul Kabir (43), son of one Esharat Ali Morol of village Sunagar within Khanpur Union under Sadar Upazila in Bagerhat district at Sunday (October 22) night at about 8-50 pm and looted gold ornaments and other valuables worth Taka more than 3 lakh as an enmity has been prevailing between the victim house owner and his opponents, according to a delayed report received here.

The victim Ekramul Kabir disclosed, at the night all the inmates of the house excepting my son Shafiqul Islam (21) went out of the house to visit the Puja Mandops.

Taking the opportunity a gang of miscreants entered into the house forcibly and beat my son with Ram Daw, one kind of big sized knives, iron rods and other home-made arms mercilessly, threatened him in many ways and looted various valuable materials including gold ornaments worth Taka more than 3 lakh and fled away.
