Sheikh Russell Day observed in Lohagara

On the occasion of the 60th birth anniversary of Shaheed Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a colorful rally was organized by Lohagara Upazila administration.

Lohagara Upazila Parishad, Upazila Administration, Thana Administration and Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad laid wreaths on the portrait of Sheikh Russell at Upazila Chatter on Wednesday with the slogan “Sheikh Russell is a symbol of serenity, fierce and lively and fearless”.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nazmun Lael, Lohagara Police Station OC Md. Rashedul Islam, Police Station OC (Investigation) Khairul Haque, Lohagara Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Nurul Islam, Upazila Muktijodha Deputy Commander Abdul Hamid Bengal, officials of various departments of the upazila, teachers of various educational institutions attended the programme.
