493 children raped in eight months: NGCAF

As many as 493 children became victims of rape between January and Aught this year in the country.

Among them, 322 people were single rape victims, 72 girls were victims of gang rape, and 39 girls were disabled, according to rights group The National Girl Child Advocacy Forum.

Besides, 101 girl children were attempted to be raped.

And 70 girls were raped in a fancy trap of love.

The National Girl Child Advocacy Forum, a non-governmental organization, organized a program titled the ‘Girl Child Situation Monitoring Report and Unveiling of Publication Book’ at the National Press Club on Wednesday (September 27).

According to the organization, in the last eight months, 2 people were victims of acid attack, 104 girls were victims of kidnapping and trafficking.

Among them, 260 people were victims of child marriage, and 21 child marriages were stopped.
