ICC accuses Nasir Hossain of corruption

All-rounder Nasir Hossain of Bangladesh has been accused of being involved in corruption, while he was competing in the Abu Dhabi T-Ten League in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2021.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) the highest governing body of world cricket has brought charges against eight persons, including Bangladesh cricketer Nasir Hossain.

ICC has brought allegation against Nasir Hossain that he has breached code of conduct of the Emirates Cricket Board’s (ECB) Anti-Corruption Conduct, while he was taking part in a match of the Abu Dhabi T-Ten League in the UAE in the year of 2021.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) issued a press release on Tuesday.

According to the press release of ICC, ” Eight players, officials and team owners of Abu Dhabi T-Ten League have breached the Anti-Corruption Code.”

Nasir Hossain, who played for Pune Devils in the Abu Dhabi T-Ten League and also the Captain of that team scored altogether 27 runs playing six matches and captured three wickets in that cricket meet.

Nasir took a present from a suspicious person, while he was playing for Pune Devils.

Nasir failed acknowledge the ECB how he got a presentation, which costs above US$ 750.

Nasir played 19 Test matches, 65 ODI matches and thirty Twenty20 International matches for Bangladesh National Cricket team.

He also played some shorter version cricket meets in different countries.

He participated in the US Masters T-Ten League in the month of August in 2022.
