464 bottles phensedyl, 930 Yaba tablets recovered in Netrakona

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) forces recovered 464 bottles of banned phensedyl syrup and 930 pieces of Yaba tablets from the cabin room of a truck and arrested a drug trader from Debtoli area of Durgapur upazila under the district on Thursday.

RAB-14 sources said, the drug trader was identified as Kamruzzaman Sani, 18, son of Aroj Ali of village Kanail of the Durgapur upazila.

Acting on a tip off, a team of the RAB-14 forces led by squadron leader Ashik Udzzaman conducted an operation at the Debtoli area and recovered the contraband items and caught the drug trader red-handed and seized the truck from the spot.

Later, the RAB team handed over the detained drug trader and the recovered contraband items to the Durgapur police station and filed a case with the police station against the drug trader under narcotics control act, the sources added.
