DSE turnover rose 27pc

The turnover value at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) reached Tk734 crore on Tuesday, which is 27% higher than the previous session.
The indices of the stock exchange closed in positive territory today as cautious investors actively took the opportunity to bag some oversold shares after the sell-offs a day earlier.
DSEX, the broad-based index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), increased by 9 points to 6,317 points at the end of the session.
The blue-chip index DS30 rose by 0.71 points to 2144 points, while the shariah-compliant stocks’ index DSES was up by 0.05 points to 1372 points.
Of the total scrips traded, 89 advanced, 68 declined, and 183 were unchanged.
Among the firms, Eastern Insurance Company gained 10%, followed by Aziz Pipes with 9.98% and Information Services Network with 9.88%.
