Army Chief inaugurates Army International Islamic Institute

Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman has inaugurated the Army International Islamic Institute. Via video teleconference, he also unveiled foundation stones for new branches of the institute in Barisal, Savar, Bogura, Sylhet, Chattogram, Cumilla, and Jessore. The colorful ceremony was held at the Jolshiri Abashon housing project in the capital.

This information was shared Monday in a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).

The release stated that the Bangladesh Army established the Army International Islamic Institute with the goal of cultivating ideal citizens equipped with knowledge, leadership qualities, and humane values, by blending modern education with ethical principles in line with present-day needs.

The Army Chief said the English-medium institution, following a Cambridge-based curriculum, would combine modern education with values-based teaching, which army headquarters hopes will help build world-class leadership and good citizens.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Principal Staff Officers of army headquarters, General Officers Commanding (GOC) of various divisions, senior military officials, distinguished individuals associated with the institution, along with teachers, students, and parents.
