Farmer electrocuted in Sharankhola

A farmer named Dulal (22) met his tragic end when he was electrocuted in the village Badhal within Dhansagar Union under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district on Thursday morning, according to a report received here.

He was the son of one Lal Mia Sardar of the village Badhal.

It is learnt from Abdur Rob Sardar, elder brother of the deceased that on the day in the morning he (Dulal) went to his own paddy field in order to irrigate water in the field and when he tried to start the electric motor he, somehow, sustained electric shock and lost his sense.

He was rushed to Upazila Health Complex where the physician on duty declared him dead.

Md. Iqram Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Sharankhola PS, told, Being informed of the matter police visited the place of occurrence and finding no mark of injuries on the dead body it was sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
