Price hike tender coconut hits Ishwardi

Due to dengue, the price of tendes coconut has increased abnormally.

There is no dub in the market below 150 taka.

Those at this price are malnourished and undersized.

And the price of each big size box is selling above 200 taka.

Due to the unbridled increase in the price of dab, the owners of dab trees are cutting the dab from the trees and selling them in the market.

A malnourished small-sized can is not getting more than half a glass of water.

The sellers say that the yield of dub is less during Shravan-Vadra months.

In the meantime, due to the increase in other diseases including dengue, the demand has increased.

Due to the few days of rain, climbing the slippery trees has reduced the dab para.

Due to this, the supply in the market has further decreased.

All in all, the price of Dub is so high.

Bappi Saha, a seller of the goods warehouse, said that due to the dengue situation, the price of dubbing has increased.

Dub price is highest every year.

Especially at this time there is an outbreak of dengue.

Hence the demand increases.

Harun, a dab seller in a van on College Road, said that he is buying malnourished dabs from village trees at Tk 120 each.

The cost is 10 taka per dub.

I am selling small dubs at the price of 150 taka.

And the price of a little bigger box is 200 taka.

The wholesalers said that calls are coming from Barisal, Bhola, Bagerhat, Jessore and Khulna.

Not so much coming now.

The prices are higher in those regional markets.
