Readers’ Voice: To the government of India
In 1971 India helped us and therefore, we are grateful to them.
But with the present role of India in the struggle of the people of Bangladesh for a free, fair and inclusive election, it seems that they had their own design to help the liberation of Bangladesh.
It has been gradually clear that they helped not out of kindness but for their own interest.
Now they are interfering in our general election to make Sheikh Hasina as the prime minister again.
India helped Awami League in the last two elections by giving them shrewd advice.
What a disgrace!
In India elections are being held without hindrance but without any shame they ruin ours for their selfish purpose.
We urge the Indian government to refrain from such heinous actions because in the long run it will not bring them any good.
