Actress Chamak banned for three months from Sept 1

Issue of the small screen actress Rukaiya Jahan Chamak has been in a stormy situation in the country’s TV drama arena for several days.

On August 13, three parent organisations of drama arena Director’s Guild, Actors Equity Bangladesh and Television and Digital Program Producers’ Associations of Bangladesh (TELEPAB) sat together to
solve the surprise issue and unique crisis.

The Director’s Guild disagreed with the decision taken against actress Chamak.

Then the Director’s Guild informed that they will their opinions on this matter by holding a press conference.

Director’s Guild called a press conference on Monday afternoon.

The organisation banned actress Rukaiya Jahan Chamak for three months as the charges brought against her were proven.

The Director’s Guild ordered the actress not to do any work for three months from September 1.

The organisation also informed that the actress has been instructed to pay the compensation for the drama ‘Shoshurbarite Prothom Din’ by August 30.

Besides, the general diary should be taken from the police station.

If this instruction is disobeyed, the organisation will take a more strict role.

Incidentally, on August 4, there was an argument on the set of the drama under the direction of Adif Hasan, the police hope and the shooting was stopped.

It is known that actress Chamak misbehaved with the producers and co-actors while being excited on the set.

Then she called the police for her own safety.

In this incident, the work of the play was stopped.

After that, on August 13, the three patron organisations of the country’s dramas, Director’s Guild, Actors Equity Bangladesh and Television and Digital Programme Producers’ Associations of Bangladesh (TELEPAB) sat down to solve the crisis.

It was informed there that the producer, director, and all actors of the drama including senior actor Fakhrul Bashar Masum, actress Chamak will express regret and apology in the presence of everyone.

The rest of the cost of the drama ‘Shoshurbarite Prothom Din’ will be compensated by Chamak.

She will make arrangements to deactivate the GD against actor Arosh Khan and director Adif Hasan at the police station.

She will try her best not to repeat this kind of incident in the future.

If such incident happens in future, she will be obliged to announce any punishment given by the organisation.

That night the Director’s Guild informed them that they did not agree with the decision of the Actors’ Equity Bangladesh.
