Prof Bulbul Ahmed Appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Sonargaon University

Professor Bulbul Ahmed, Head of the CSE Department at Sonargaon University, has been appointed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university with the approval of the President and Chancellor.

In accordance with Section 32(1) of the Private University Act, 2010, a notification signed by Naima Khandaker, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh, was issued on September 23, 2026. The notification stated that Professor Bulbul Ahmed has been appointed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Sonargaon University for a term of four years, effective from the date of his joining.

Following this, university authorities formally welcomed Professor Bulbul Ahmed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor with a floral tribute. Present on the occasion were Advocate Umme Salma, Executive Member of the Board of Trustees; Professor Dr. ASM Tariq Iqbal, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Professor Md. Mostafa Hossain, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; S. M. Nurul Huda, Registrar; Md. Mesbaul Hossain, Director of Finance; Kazi Julkarnain Sultan Alam, Director of Student Welfare; Md. Tarek Mahmud, Director of Audit; Md. Abu Hanif, Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Additional Director of CRTC; Md. Shariful Islam, Joint Director of Human Resource Management; and Nahid Hasan, Head of Public Relations.
