Engr SM Shahidul Islam new BWDB DG

Engineer SM Shahidul Islam has been appointed as the Director General of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB), effective from Sunday.

Before joining the present post, he was Additional Director General (East zone), said a press release.

Shahidul Islam also served as chief engineer of BWDB (North-East zone) in Sylhet,
He obtained BSc in Civil Engineering degree from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology in 1987 and joined the Quality Control Department of BWDB as an assistant engineer in 1989.
