Woman dies from wall collapse in Baraigram

A woman named Ambia Khatun (50) dies under the mud wall of her house in Natore’s Baraigram.

The incident took place in Jalshuka village of the upazila recently. Deceased Ambia Khatun is a wife of visually impaired Abdur Rahman of Jalshuka village.

Locals said that a few days ago, in the land survey of the house, Abdur Rahman’s brother got a few cubits of space inside the mud wall house.

Because of this, Ambia Khatun was breaking the wall on the south side of that room with a shovel.

At this time, the wall suddenly broke and fell on her body.

But as there was no one at home, it was not possible to rescue her immediately.

Later, her husband returned home from the nearby market but did not get any response but recovered her body from under the mud wall with the help of relatives.

Abu Siddique, OC of Baraigram police station, said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information.
