Deshbandhu Group, CNCEC signs deal

Deshbandhu PSF & PET Project of Deshbandhu Group signed an agreement with China National Chemical Engineering International Corporation (CNCEC).

The signing ceremony was held at the head office of Deshbandhu Group in Banani on Wednesday. Golam Rahman, Managing Director of Deshbandhu Group and Zhang Chin, Director of South Asian Region on behalf of CNCEC, exchange documents after signing the deal while senior officials from both sides were present.

M. A. Bashir Ahmed, Additional Managing Director and Group CFO of Deshbandhu Group presented the details and business potential of the project.

e also said that through the signing of Deshbandhu PSF and PET project agreement, Deshbandhu Group is going to build this 100% export oriented project in Power-Pac Economic Zone in the area adjacent to Mongla port in Bagerhat. For the first of its kind in the country, an agreement to set up such an industry was signed.

It is expected to go into production within the next two years. If everything goes well, this project has the potential to generate usd 800 million revenue yearly. In this connection, the necessary cooperation from the government has been requested.
