Entertainment Report :
On August 4, an untoward incident occurred during the shooting of director Adif Hasan’s drama ‘Shwoshurbarite Prothom Din’ at Anandabari Shooting House in the capital’s Uttara area, which is now at the centre of the discussion in the country’s drama arena. The situation became more
muddled due to the controversy between the director-actors and the counter-accusations between the actors.
On August 13, Director’s Guild, Actors Equity Bangladesh and Television and Digital Program Producers Associations of Bangladesh (TELEPAB) they sat together to discuss the problem.
Actors Equity announced the decision taken at the meeting on Monday night.
According to the notification, after reviewing everyone’s statements, the behaviour of actress Chamak with director Adif Hasan on August 4 in a state of excitement, due to this, unwanted situations such as police coming on the shooting set, stoppage of shooting etc are created and the director suffers financially and humanly.
The way senior actor Fakhrul Bashar Masum behaved with director Adif Hasan and everyone in the unit was actress Chamak’s mistake and later, the performance against actor Arosh Khan in various interviews is completely baseless.
Taking everything into consideration, Actors Equity decided that actress Chamak will apologize to all of the drama including the affected producer, director and senior actor Fakhrul Bashar Masum.
The rest of the cost of production of the drama ‘Shwoshurbarite Parothom Din’ will be given by actress Chamak as compensation.
The GD that has been filed against the director Adif Hasan and the actor Arosh Khan in the police station should be deactivated immediately by the actress. In the future, so that this kind of incident does not happen again, Chamak will try.
If such an incident occurs in the future, she will be bound to accept any punishment given by the incident.
Meanwhile, Director’s Guild informed on Monday night that they do not agree with the Actors Equity’s decision.
General Secretary of the Director’s Guild, Kamruzzaman Sagar said, “The decision that has been announced through the press release, is only of the Actors Equity BD.
We do not agree with this decision.
They have decided to use our name as they wish.
It is totally inappropriate.
We wanted to make the decision, so that will be the example for the future.
We will quickly hold a press conference and present our views on this matter.”
