NHA employee arrested for corruption

Delwar Hossain, an employee of the National Housing Authority (NHA), has been arrested on charges of certificate forgery and accumulating huge illegal wealth.

After an investigation of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works on Tuesday (August 1), a case was filed against him and finally he was handed over to the police.

It is alleged that Delowar Hossain joined the National Housing Authority (NHA) using fake educational certificates. During the service period, he became owner of hundreds of crores of Taka.

Earlier, the Ministry of Housing and Public Works formed a committee to probe his illegally accumulated wealth and fake certificates.

Following an investigation into his wealth and certificates, the ministry concerned handed him over to police after filing a case against him with Shahbagh Police Station on Tuesday (August 1).
Housing Secretary Kazi Wasi Uddin confirmed the matter to the journalists holding a press conference at his office.
