Draw ceremony of Asian Games held

The Draw ceremony of Asian Games was held in China on Thursday. A total of 23 teams splitting into six groups will take part in first round of the Men’s Group of Asian Games. Hosts China, Bangladesh, Myanmar and India have been placed in Group-A. The Football Competition of Asian Games is basically a football meet for the Under-23 booters. Three senior players have got chance to compete with their team. Bangladesh played the second round of the last Asian Games. Bangladesh will not take part in the upcoming Asian Games with their full-fledged strength because the leading clubs of Bangladesh will not allow their booters to play in the football competition of Asian Games as the leading clubs of Bangladesh will take part in the AFC Cup and Champions League during that time when the Asian Games will be held. The other countries will also face that problem.
Meanwhile, a total of 17 teams dividing into five groups will participate in the first round of the Women’s Group of Asian Games. Bangladesh, Japan, Vietnam, Nepal have been billed in Group-D. Bangladesh Women’s Football team are going to compete in the football competition of Asian Games for the first time. Bangladesh Women’s Football team played against Nepal Women’s Football team recently. It may be mentioned that the senior team of Bangladesh Women’s Football team will play in the football competition of Asian Games.
