Railway police seize narcotic injections, one held

Railway police arrested a young man named Md Shimul, 28, with 11 narcotic injections during an operation at Santahar Railway Station in Bogura. The estimated value of the seized injections is Tk 2,800.

The operation was conducted on Sunday in front of the RNB office on Platform No. 3 of Santahar Railway Station. The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the office of the Superintendent of Police of the Pakshi Railway District.

Police said they received information from a confidential source while conducting platform duty under Santahar Railway Police Station GD No. 651 that a person was carrying narcotics. Later, a ticketless man was found moving around on Platform No. 3 and was questioned on suspicion. As he failed to provide satisfactory answers, police searched him and recovered 11 narcotic injections wrapped in a white polythene packet from the front left pocket of his trousers.
