Despite Mushfiqur shines but Johannesburg fail to earn win in Zim-Afro T10 League

Despite Mushfiqur Rahim shone with the willow but his team Johannesburg Buffaloes failed to earn win against Durban Qalandars in their match of the Zim-Afro T10 League at Harare Sports Club Ground in Zimbabwe on Tuesday. Johannesburg Buffaloes tasted a narrow two-run defeat to Durban Qalanders.
Sent into bat first, Durban Qalandars piled up a mammoth total of 121 for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 10 overs and restricted Johannesburg Qalandars to 119 for the loss of five wickets.
Mushfiqur Rahim got strike in the first ball of the ninth over. He earned a single run in the first ball of that over.
17 runs came from the five deliveries of that over. Later, Mushfiqur Rihim got strike in the second delivery of the 10th over. Azmatullah Omarzai of Durban Qalandars bowled in the last over. Johannesburg Buffaloes needed 20 runs to win in last over. Mushfiqur Rahim hit consecutive four boundaries in the second ball, third ball, fourth ball and fifth ball of that over. But in the last ball, Mushfiqur could score only one run. Thus, Johannesburg Buffaloes failed to reach the winning spot for just three runs. Mushfiqur Rahim notched up a windy 18 runs using six deliveries with four fours in his unbeaten innings. His strike rate was exact 300. After failed to earn victory for his team, Mushfiqur Rahim sat down in the field for a long time. Most of the spectators and his teammates were surprised as the Team Management gave strike to ‘Mr Dependable’ at the seventh position of the batters of Johannesburg Buffaloes.
Mushfiqur Rahim started his Zim-Afro T10 League with a happy note. He hit 46 runs in 23 deliveries in his first match. He remained unbeaten with 19 runs using 12 deliveries in the second match and remained unbeaten with 16 runs capitalizing 13 deliveries in the third match. On Tuesday, he played a stormy innings but could not present his team last laugh.
