2 boys drowned, 4 injured rescued in Nandail

Nandail ( Mymensingh ) Correspondent  :
Kamrul ( 12) son of Nazrul Islam and Sohag ( 14) son of Hormuz Ali of ward no -9 of Achargoan unoin of Nandail upazila of Mymensingh dist drowned in Narsunda River in Nandail on Thursday afternoon.
The other four teenagers were rescued from the River by the locals.
After visiting the scene six children of the school and students of the local Hafizia Madrasa were playing in the River with banana tree rafts. At one point the boys drowned in river after getting caught in an illigal Bhim net. Realizing the matter the local people on the river bank rushed down to the river and rescued 4 teenagers with injuries. After receiving the information the staff of Nandail Fire Service rushed to the spot and rescued 2 teenagers in a dead condition after carrying out rescue operations for about two hours.
Md.Saidul Islam Station Master of Nandail Fire Service said that A rescue team of 12 members from the fire service Station rescued two dead teenagers from Narsunda river and handed them over to the Authority of Nandail model police station.
In this regard OC Rasheduzzaman said that the matter is very sad. Fishing in the river is totally illegal. I will take necessary action if I get a Written complaint .
