Nobody wants a promise but everybody seeks a legal system for a free election

How anybody in the government can assure free election unless he or she has full control of the election? On the basis of laws and legal framework one can see objectively whether the legal system can be relied on to have a free and fair election.

Let us analyse the legal system the government has put in place. Firstly, the legal arrangement is election shall be held under a full-fledged government without dissolving the parliament.
Let the government show where under the parliamentary system of democracy the election takes place without dissolving the parliament.

Let anybody in the government discuss the system of election in India under the parliamentary system. And he will not be able to deny dissolution of the parliament. He will also find that nowhere election of the parliament under parliamentary system keeps the parliament going during the election.

No elected government can survive after the dissolution of the parliament. It is difficult on the part of an inexperienced political leadership to see the difference.
Again, let us examine the system in use in India. The election-time government is formed by the president. So it is nothing but an election time government.
It is true that the opposition has faith in the outgoing prime minister and the few ministers functioning as caretaker government that will not engage the state machinery to interfere with the honesty
of the election. But the fact remains the election time government is not the continuation of the elected government.

Thirdly, the need of a non-party caretaker government for the election time was the demand of Awami League. Thus the non-party caretaker government was the brainchild of Awami League and the Constitution was amended with the support of all the parties including BNP then in power.

Thereafter the Awami League government amended the earlier constitutional amendment for caretaker government. In its place it was provided that, the elected government fully equipped has to be in charge of the election.

This is the vilest arrangement for rigging the election by using the whole government machinery. The last amendment was obviously a fraud against the people and the Constitution.
We are not discussing party politics. The whole nation has been denied their right to vote for electing the government of their choice.
So what is expected from the people’s friends outside is to help them from the deadly violence and secret killing.
