Siblings hacked to death in Kishoreganj

A sibling were killed and five others injured in a clash over planting tree saplings on the boundary of a house at North Kurima village under Shahedal Union in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday morning. The victim’s mother and two brothers were injured in the incident.

The deceased was identified as Mahmud Al Hasan Alamgir (30) and sister Nadira (22).
Father of the ill fated children Shamsul Islam said that his two innocent children are killed by the opponent group just over a piece of land.

According to locals and police, Qadir Mia of Kurimara village planted four saplings in the boundary of his house. There was an argument with his brother Shamsul Islam about this.

As a result, Qadir Mia and her sons attacked her brother’s house with indigenous weapons.

Alamgir was killed on the spot by the domestic weapon of the opponent. College student Nadira along with her mother and two brothers were seriously injured.

The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where Nadira died. The injured are being treated at the hospital.

Police Super of Kishoreganj Md Russell Sheikh visited the spot.

“The incident took place over family feud. Police action is continuing to nab the culprits who are involved in the killing. Police also arrested two men in this connection,” the Police Super told The New Nation.
