Housewife killed in Kalkini road accident

A housewife named Ayesha Begum (30) was killed in a head-on collision between two auto-rickshaws at Kalkini in Madaripur municipal area on Tuesday. One person was injured. The incident took place near Kullur Bridge of Nayakandi
The deceased was the wife of Milon Chowdhury of Charfatebahadur village in Shikarmangal area of Grihabadhu upazila.
According to police sources, housewife Ayesha Begum left home for Kalkini on her personal errand in an autorickshaw. On the way, there was a head-on collision with another auto-rickshaw on the way, when it reached the Kulur bridge of Nayakandi village in the municipal area. Ayesha Begum and driver Khabir Sardar were seriously injured.
Later local people rescued both of them and took them to Kalkini Hospital where the doctor on duty declared Ayesha Begum dead. On the other hand, the driver Khabir Sardar (50) was sent to Barisal Sherebangla Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment after initial treatment.
In this regard, Kalkini police station OC Md. Shamim Hossain said, we have sent the police to the spot after receiving the information.
