We never seek mercy but justice: BNP

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said that they never seek any mercy but sought justice always.

“The government frequently say that they showed mercy by allowing BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to live her residence, we never sought mercy but justice,” Mirza Fakhrul said while addressing a milad mahfil arranged by BNP at the party’s Nayapaltan central office seeking early recovery of its ailing standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Rafiqul Islam Miah.

The government has kept our party Chairperson in a unhealthy and risky building in the old jail while we repeatedly sought permission for taking her abroad for emergency medical treatment she needed. During the covid-19 pandemic the government sent her residence.
