‘To promoteland management system stressed’

Land Secretary Md. Khalilur Rahman today said the government is determined to promote the land management system of the country side by side with making land services for the people easier.
“Country’s 100 percent land management system has already been digitalized under the prudent and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and its marginal people are now getting facilities from the digitalization of the of the land management system”, he also said.
The Land Secretary said this while addressing a view exchange meeting with the people of different classes and professionals including the government officials at local circuit house here recently as Chief Guest.
The function was held under the arrangement of the district administration with Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur Md. Habibur Rahman in the chair. Moderated by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Oliur Rahman, the function was also addressed, among others, by Police Super Kamal Hossain, Zila Parishad Chairman Abu Bakar Siddique, Principal of Gaibandha Government College Prof Khalilur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Chairman Shah Sarwar Kabir, Freedom fighters Mahmudul Haque Sahzada and Ali Akbar Miah, President of district Puja Udjapon Committee former principal Paresh Chandra Sarker, social worker Abdus Salam and NGO activist Ashraful Alam.
The speakers in their speeches highlighted various land management problems in the district and sought cooperation and intervention from the Land Secretary to resolve these as early as possible considering the peoples’ interest.
The Land Secretary heard them with patience and assured of solving the problems raised by the participants considering its priority.
The Land Secretary also said the government is working sincerely to build Smart Bangladesh by 2041, a farsighted vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
To materialize the vision, the offices of the Land Ministry would be turned into smart offices; he said adding that the efforts are going on in this regard.
Joint and Collective efforts of all officials concerned and stakeholders are very crucial to make the land management people-friendly as the government is determined to do the same, he concluded.
A number of civil society members, government officials, public representatives, journalists, social workers, NGO activists took part in the meeting.
