Int’l SOS Children’s Village Day celebrated

SOS Children’s Village Sylhet observed SOS Day, a special occasion commemorating the birth anniversary of the late Dr. Hermann Gmeiner, the Founder of SOS Children’s Villages was celebrated at SOS Children’s Village Sylhet Doyamir Osmani Nagar Sylhet on Friday.
ASP of Sylhet (Crime and Operation) Sheikh Muhammad Shalim Attend the programme as a chief guest, Officer of Expatriates welfare desk Sylhet Police Super office Shyamal Banik, Osmaninagar Cercale ASP Asrafujjaman PPM (Service), OC of Osmaninagar Police Station Masudul Amin, The New nation Sylhet Bureau chief S A Shofiee, Osmaninagar Press club President Jubel Ahmed Shekel, Secratary Anwar Hossain Ana, Doyamir Union Parishad Chairman STM Fakar Uddin, Omarpur Union Parishad Chairman Golam Kibria present the programme as special guest.
The program commenced with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed Chief Guest by the Child Village Sylhet Director, along with the mothers, children, and co-workers followed by a colourful ceremony accompanied by a heartfelt recitation of the ‘SOS prayer’ by the children. During the event, the Chief Guest and other dignitaries joined the stage to honor the mothers for their unwavering dedication and hard work.
Additionally, exceptional children who had achieved remarkable academic success were recognised and awarded by the Chief Guest.
The event also featured a variety of cultural activities and competitions, including dance, singing, art & craft, and more.
