Kolkata and Dhaka are equally important to me: Darshana Banik

In a recent turn of events, Tollywood’s actress Darshana Banik has been making waves in Bangladeshi cinema and
earning significant attention from
both fans and industry insiders.
While having previously worked in numerous Kolkata movies, Darshana’s growing inclination towards Bangladeshi cinema has fuelled speculation about her upcoming ventures, particularly her association with acclaimed actor Shakib Khan.
The actress has been continuously signing new projects in the Bengali movie industry, with her most recent collaboration being with Bangladeshi actor Ador Azad. Furthermore, rumours suggest that Darshana may once again share the screen with Shakib in an upcoming movie.
Darshana’s presence in the popular competition show ‘Didi Number 1’ further showcased her commitment to both the Kolkata film industry and her growing presence in Bangladesh. During the event, Darshana shared insights into her working experiences in Bangladesh and her collaborations with Shakib Khan. While talking in this regard, Darshana said, “I am doing a lot of work. Various job opportunities are coming outside for Tollywood work. Both Bengals are equally important to me.”
The prospect of working with Shakib Khan has attracted many actors to the Bangladeshi film industry, and Darshana Banik is no exception. Speaking highly of her experience working with Shakib, Darshana said, “Very good experience. Shakib is a big name there. But it never felt like that on set.”
Although Darshana Banik remains tight-lipped about her upcoming projects, it is believed that she will soon travel to Bangladesh for filming.
