Prof Bala joins as Dhaka WASA Chairman

Professor Sujit Kumar Bala has joined Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) as Chairman on Monday, WASA said in a press release.
Earlier on May 22, the government appointed Sujit Kumar Bala as the new Chairman of Dhaka WASA and he would be taking up the role of Gholam Mostofa whose tenure expired six months ago.

The Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Co-operatives issued a circular in this regard that day.
Professor Sujit Kumar is the director of Institute of Water and Flood Management at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet).
He also worked as team leader of Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge Construction, Flood Action Plan and Hydro Morphological Study.
