Shakib Al Hasan got injury in the second One Day International (ODI) between Bangladesh and Ireland at Chelmsford in the United Kingdom on May 12.
Shakib Al Hasan was ruled out from the third ODI. He will be out of the field for six weeks.
Irish batter George Dockrell hit a ball of Mehidy Hasan Miraz which was a catch. Shakib Al Hasan failed to grip the ball and he got serious injury. Then, Shakib batted against Ireland.
Physiotherapist of Bangladesh National Cricket team Bayjedul Islam Khan said, ” On Friday in the second ODI match, Shakib got injury on his right finger. On Saturday, his injured finger was got underway in X-Ray examination. In his X-Ray report, it was found that his finger was fractured. It will take at least six weeks to be okay. So, Shakib Al Hasan could not take part in the third ODI at Chelmsford in United Kingdom on Sunday.
A source of Bangladesh Team Management Committee said, ” Shakib Al Hasan may not participate in the Test match against Afghanistan. Bangladesh will play a Test match against Afghanistan in the last week of June.”
