Dhaka sees huge traffic congestion after Eid

Capital Dhaka streets have seen huge traffic congestion after the holy Eid.
It was seen that traffic police personnels have struggled to maintain the Dhaka’s streets’ tailback on Sunday, the first day of the working schedule.
Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam has made further pressure on the streets.
Capital Agargaon area, Bijay Saroni, Jahangir gate, Mohakhali, Tejgaon Industrial area, Magbazar, Baily Road, Kakrial, Ramana and Paltor area have experienced huge traffic jam.
The passengers have suffered seriously due to traffic and extreme heat.
A CNG driver Yeasin from Farmgate area said I have started my journey from Mirpur Seorapar to Motijheel. After two hours I have reached Farmget area. Even though, I don’t know
when I will reach Motijheel? A biker from Tejgaon Industrial area’s in front BG press talked with the reporter saying that the vehicles doesn’t move for one and half hours. It is very tough to stay stand still under the extreme heat for hour and hour.
Tejgaon Division Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Md Jahangir Alam said after Eid and last week three days holiday people entered the capital Dhaka. As a result suddenly capital has seen unexpected people gathering.
Besides, the educational institutions are remaining open and SSC and equivalent exam is going on, which also made extra pressure on the streets, he added.
