Titas suggests keeping windows open before use stoves

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited on Wednesday suggested the citizens to keep windows of kitchens for 15 minutes before using stoves to fire avoid incidents.

The authorities suggested it through its verified facebook page as the gas smell spreading created panicked among the people one day ago.

Earlier on Monday night, residents of several areas including Mohakhali, Rampura, Basundhara residential area, Eskaton, Rajabazar, Badda, Moghbazar, Cresent Road, Bashabo, Dhanmondi and Hazaribagh, reported gas smells on the streets.

The city dwellers feared of sudden fire incidents might be occurred from gas leakages in the areas which caused the smell in those areas.

Several citizens have informed police stations, and several other emergency services after getting the gas smell.
Prepared Fire Service vehicles had to take place in different areas including Mohakhali and Rampura after getting the information of huge gas smell.

Energy experts said that such gas smell is very dangerous matter.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Monday night urged people not to panic over such gas smells.
Finally the ministry control it by lowering gas pressures in line.
