Take our test by participating in polls: EC

Election Commission (EC) has asked to Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to take their test by participating in the election.
EC Commissioner Md. Alamgir urged the BNP saying that Kazi Habibul Awal commission always ready to prove themselves to BNP about their faithfulness.

EC Alamgir made the comment while exchanging views with newsmen at his office at Agargaon Nirbachan Bhaban on Tuesday.
Commissioner Alamgir said to BNP that our all-time appeal to BNP to take parts the polls and test ourselves. We always ready to prove ourselves.

He said you did not take any exam of us. So, how you can say we have passed the exam or failed?
“Incumbent commission is doing well and it is committed to do well in future.”
When asked in five cities polls most of the
political parties would not participate, is it distrust to EC or not?
Replying the query Commissioner Alamgir said most of political parties have not office in local level. Without mass support how they will take part in polls?

Responding the query-what about BNP- Commissioner said they would not participate in polls as the part of their political strategy.
But they did not say they will not take part in polls as the part of distrust to the commission, he added.

EC Alamgir said, small parties have not political office at all district. Even, they have no suitable candidate to compete in the city polls.
