BREL introduces Taj and Vivanta hotel brands in Bangladesh

For the first time in the history of Bangladesh, the iconic Taj and Vivanta hotel brands are introduced in Bangladesh by Borak Real Estate Ltd (BREL) – a concern of Unique Group.
Unique Group is also the owning company of Unique Hotel and Resorts PLC which is the leading Hotel and Hospitality Management company in Bangladesh successfully operating Marriott International’s 5-star hotels – The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka and a 4-star boutique hotel Hansa – A Premium Residence. On April 17, the hotel management agreement was signed by representatives from The Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) and Borak Real Estate Ltd (BREL) at Sheraton Dhaka.
On behalf of IHCL, Suma Venkatesh, executive vice president – Real Estate and Development and Rajendra Mishra, executive vice president and general counsel signed the agreement and on behalf of BREL, Mohd Noor Ali, managing director of BREL signed.
During the signing, Rohan Ranade, associate vice president – Real Estate and Development, IHCL and Salina Ali, chairperson, BREL were also present.
Under the Hotel Management agreement, the top Indian Hospitality Company – IHCL (Operator) will be operating its brands Taj and Vivanta at Gulshan 2 (Dhaka) in partnership with BREL (Owner).
The agreement that was signed by both parties, will be valid for a period of 30 years.
