Severe heat wave may continue more three days

Scorching heat wave is sweeping over a number of districts including Dhaka while mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping elsewhere over the country and it may continue, said the Met Office in a weather bulletin on Sunday.
The Met Office, however said, the ongoing intense heat wave will relief the countrymen after three days as rain is likely to start from April 19.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Sunday forecasted that severe heat wave will continue in parts of the country like the past few days.
Kazi Jebunnesa, an Assistant Meteorologist at the BMD, told journalists that there was no possibility of rain within the next three days and the ongoing heat wave will continue.
“Severe heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the districts of Dhaka, Faridpur, Manikganj, Pabna, Patuakhali, Bagerhat, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia. Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping elsewhere over the country and it may continue for several days,” the met office said.
It said that the weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
The day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature recorded in the capital on Sunday is 41.1 degree Celsius, which was 40.4 degree Celsius on Saturday.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 42.2 degree Celsius at Chuadanga and minimum temperature was recorded 19.4 degree celsius at Syedpur.
On the other hand, the Met office said that the rain is likely to begin in the eastern part of the country from April 19, while in the whole country after April 23.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, said a Met office bulletin.
