Pori Moni starrer movie ‘Maa’ to release on May 19

Dhallywood’s popular actress Pori Moni starrer Liberation War-based movie titled ‘Maa’,
directed by Arannya Anwar, is all set to be released on May 19.
This was announced at a press conference held
on Saturday to unveil the promo and poster of the movie. The cast and crew of the movie including Pori Moni and Sariful Razz, among others, were also present at the event.
While talking about acting in the movie, actress Pori Moni told media, “The journey of this movie will always be engraved in my memory. When I was shooting for ‘Maa’, I was pregnant with Rajya. Now when the movie will be released, he will be in
my arms. I can’t explain
how happy I am.”
The story of the movie is set in the background
of the Liberation War in 1971. The feeling of loss and desperation of
a mother, when her
7-month-old baby is declared dead, will be portrayed in the movie.
It is noted that the shooting of the movie started in January last year. The movie also stars Azad Abul Kalam, Sazu Khadem, Farzana Chhobi, Rebena Karim Jui, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Shahadat Hossain, Shetu,
Labonno, among
others.
