Four eighth grade girls have gone missing together after leaving their home in Mirpur of the capital. Three of them are students of a Madrasa and another of a school.
According to the family and local sources, last Tuesday morning, they left their houses to go to their educational institution and did not return. In this incident, the parents of the four have filed separate general diary (GD) with the police station. All four girls were wearing veils when they went out together, the GD said.
Kamrul Islam, Inspector (investigation) of Kafrul Police Station confirmed the matter to the New Nation on Thursday night and said that on Tuesday morning they left home saying to go to their respective educational institution. All four of them are girlfriends and all are
residents of Mirpur No. 13 section. Missing all was seen wearing veils together.
The Inspector said, we have collected CCTV footage of their school and nearby areas. In the footage, the four students were initially seen together, but later they were separated. It is initially believed that they have left the resident for Sylhet. However, as none of them have a mobile phone, it takes time to confirm their location.
In the meantime, the missing message has been delivered to all the police stations. Also, several teams are working in the field to search for the missing persons, Inspector added.
It is to be mentionable that earlier in 2021, four more girls went missing from city’s Ansar Camp and Janata Housing areas of Mirpur.
