Navy Chief flies to Saudi Arabia

Navy Chief Admiral Khondkar Misbah Ul Azim left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on Saturday on an official visit, according to ISPR.

During the visit, the navy chief is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, the Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and the Commander of the Multinational Maritime Defence Coalition.

The meetings will cover various issues of bilateral interest, including the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia and areas of cooperation between the two navies, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release.

Admiral Khondkar Misbah Ul Azim will also visit several military and naval installations during his stay in Saudi Arabia.

He is expected to exchange views on professional relations, training and various other issues between the naval forces of the two countries.

The visit is expected to further strengthen existing cooperation and the friendly and fraternal relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, according to the ISPR.
