Russian U-17 eve football team in city

Russian U-17 eve football team arrived on Saturday in Dhaka to take part in the 5th edition of SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship scheduled to be held from March 20-28 at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur. Russia is set to feature in the tournament for the first time as a guest nation, following suspension by UEFA. Russia will start their tournament campaign taking on host Bangladesh on March 22. Five teams — host Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Russia U-17 women’s national football teams — will participate in the round robin league format. Nepal are the defending champions having won the previous 2022 edition title.
