Likely to be completed by Sept: Ctg-Dohazari rly line renovation work starts

In coordination with the work of the Dohazari-Cox’s Bazar railway line, the work of the 40km Chattogram-Sholoshohor-Dohazari railway line has also started in full swing. Sources of the project director said that work is going on in several packages with the target of completing the work by next September.
Along with the new railway line up to Dohazari-Cox’s Bazar for the movement of trains on the Cox’s Bazar route, the 40 and a half km railway line from Chattogram to Dohazari is also being renovated through tender.
The railway has been renovated up to Chattogram University two years ago. Chattogram University, Nazirhat and Dohazari – trains run on this route through Sholoshohor station.
At that time, 6 and a half kilometers of railway from Chattogram station to Sholoshohor was repaired. Additional Chief Engineer (Track) of Railway Eastern Region Arman Hossain said that this 6.5km railway track is in good condition as it was repaired earlier.
