Biman flight lands safely in Dhaka after tyre bursts in Kolkata

A tyre of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ flight burst during takeoff from India’s Kolkata international airport on Monday morning.
The Biman flight, BG-392, had 72 passengers on board when the incident happened at 9:19am (local time). The passengers of the flight become panicked following the incident.
However, the plane landed safely in Dhaka at 10:03 am without any major incident, Group Captain Kamrul Islam, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), said.
He said though the incident happened on Monday morning but the flight landed safely in Dhaka and all the passengers were safe.
According to airport sources, the Biman Bangladesh Airlines
aircraft is a Dash 8-400 model. One of the right rear wheel’s tyre burst.
However, the airport authority was in full preparations by taking precaution measures like deployment of three fire service units and other logistic supports at the airport to deal with the emergency when the aircraft landed, sources further said.
