Brazilian Caique de Silva joins Kings

After overcoming 14 bans imposed by FIFA, Bashundhara Kings have made a triumphant return to the transfer market. Despite losing a host of domestic and foreign players, the team has skillfully regrouped.

The joint-record six-time professional league champions have assembled a formidable squad, recruiting Brazilian forward Kaique da Silva to fill a foreign player slot.

At the very beginning of the transfer window, Bashundhara Kings lost Saad Uddin, Anisur Rahman Zico, Faisal Ahmed Fahim, Sohel Rana Jr., Mujibar Rahman Jony and Shahriar Emon. They have joined Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club.

Three proven foreign players, Dorielton Gomes, Emmanuel Sunday, and Toni left the team. Toni and Sunday have rejoined their former club Dhaka Mohammedan.

Kings have retained key performers such as Mehedi Hasan Shrabon, Rakib Hossain, Topu Rayhan, Bishwanath Ghosh and Yusuf Ali.
Three footballers have been flown in from Nepal under SAFF quota.

The sinning from Dhaka Abahani’s Kazem Shah as a major surprise. Additionally, Bashundhara Kings have signed Abahani’s Nigerian player, Emeka. Robson Robinho also with the team.

The champions are bringing in Bebe, a former Manchester United and Cape Verde national team player. Chencho Gyeltshen, known as the ‘Ronaldo of Bhutan’ will also be seen wearing the Kings’ jersey.

The latest addition to Bashundhara Kings is the Brazilian player Caique da Silva. 6 feet 4 inches tall the 26-year-old Caique previously played for the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

Last season he played for the Brazilian Serie B club Vila Nova FC. He has experience playing for the Khor Fakkan and Dibba Al-Hisn clubs in the United Arab Emirates.
