Debolina Sur renders Rabindra Sangeet in children’s movie

Debolina Sur is one such artiste
of the Bangladeshi music scene who grew up in a culturally friendly family. That’s why she had talent with music. According to Debolina, like eating rice every day, playing games, along with studying, music was also regular. That Debolina Sur grew up to become a singer. She is a renowned musician in the music industry of the country. Being the children of an art-loving family, her affinity with art and her
pursuit of art made her a modest artiste. Debolina Sur has already rendered a Ranbindra Sangeet in
a children’s movie for the first time. She rendered Tagore song titled ‘Mor Bhabonare Ki Hawai Matalo’ in the movie titled ‘Nuliachhorir Sonar Pahar’
directed by Lubna Sharmin.
Rabindranath Tagore wrote this song of Gaur Malhar raga and Trital Chhondo (rhythm) on August 29 in 1929. Shailajaranjan Majumder was the lyricist of
this song. Bappa Mazumder composed the music for the
song rendered by Deboalina Sur in the movie.
While talking about Debolina’s rendering style, Bappa Mazumder told this correspondent, “Debolina is undoubtedly
a good singer. She rendered this Rabindra Sangeet very well.”
Singer Debolina Sur shared her feelings by this way, “Having grown up with music since
childhood, my dreams and pursuits revolve around music.
I want to constantly pursue music. I want to sing the song, may I never be lost from music. The key is to always prepare myself for the song. In fact, Bappa Dada was interested in singing in the movie in that
prepared state.
I tried to sing the song with
my hundred percent. Singing Rabindra Sangeet in a movie is definitely a great experience.
I give thanks to Bappa Dada.”
When Debolina Sur was studying at Jashore Cantonment College, Kamruzzaman, the
principal of the college, used
to inspire her to sing. He still inspires her for rendering song. Her father Biswanath Sur also inspired her in music. And her mother Sraboni Sur has brought her this far. She and Ronjoy Bhattacharya rendered a full
song on book fair on the occasion of recently finished Amar Ekushey Book Fair. Title of the song was ‘Abar Elo Pran er Mela.’ Sumon Saha wrote lyrics of the song while Ronjoy composed its music. Ronjoy was the music composer of Kolkata’s popular playback song titled ‘Prem e Pora Baron,’ which was used
in the movie ‘Sweater.’
Debolina Sur did Honour’s in Rabindra Sangeet at Santiniketan, then Master’s in the same subject at Rabindra Bharati University on a scholarship from the ICCR. And in both her results were
first class. February 15 was the
birthday of this singer.
Her only children Dwijita Deshoshree was born
on February 22 in 2022, said the singer Debolina Sur.
