‘Muktijuddho Amar Ohongkar’, a book for remarkable memoir

‘Muktijuddho Amar Ohongkar’ is a collection of heroic stories from the life of a brave freedom fighter. The book is a remarkable memoir of one of the greatest sons of the nation. The book reviewed by Anisur Rahman Khan.
The author, Ali Haidar Choudhury, was a young man from Kishoreganj at that time. He had an invincible faith in one great person.
When that great person called out in a thundering voice, “You have to fight the enemy with whatever you have,” he took up the challenge with unwavering determination.
Bangabandhu’s call diminished the allure of his own life. He left home saying “It’s either freedom or death” with the intention of joining the Bengalis’ fight for independence.
The author writes, “When I returned Sandwip, after receiving training, I was bathed with the immeasurable sense of sincerity and empathy of people which had made me even braver.”
The author Ali Haydar Choudhury has eloquently described the days of the liberation war of 50 years ago in his own style of sublimity and eloquence. The book is a valuable and evidence-based document of the country’s liberation war.
Despite being published 50 years after the war, the author has not deviated from his memories.
