Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said; the Masters of Applied Criminology and Police Management course for police officers as well as other professionals will play an important role in crime prevention and crime reduction.
He said it at the opening ceremony of the seventh batch of Masters of Applied Criminology and Police Management course at Police Staff College Bangladesh (PSC) on Saturday afternoon.
Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said, PSC is the highest training institute of Bangladesh Police. Since its inception, PSC has been conducting various types of training at national, regional and international levels with great efficiency.
50 students have been admitted in the seventh batch of Masters of Applied Criminology and Police Management course under National University. Among the students are officers of various government and private institutions including the police.
Mallik Fakhrul Islam, Rector of Police Staff College Bangladesh chaired the event, Md. Mashiur Rahman, vice-chancellor of the National University, was present as a special guest in the event.
At this time, Vice Rector of Police Staff College Rezaul Haque, Senior Directing Staff (Training) AFM Masum Rabbani and many others were also present.
