



Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman returned home on Friday, 3 July, after wrapping up his official visit to the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where he held talks with senior defence and military officials on expanding bilateral defence ties.
During the visit, General Waker-Uz-Zaman held meetings and exchanged views with senior defence and military officials from the Czech Republic and Slovakia to strengthen bilateral defence ties and cooperation, according to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations.
He also visited several military institutions and defence industry facilities in the two countries, the release said.
The army chief left Bangladesh for the official visit on 28 June.
