Har-Mund Malini Festival held

A two-day long Har-Mund Malini Festival was celebrated by the Hindu community at Ishwardi Municipal Crematorium. On the occasion of the 8th anniversary of the cremation, as in the previous years on Sunday morning, female and male devotees of the Hindu community poured water on the head of Bholanath in the cremation along with flowers and bela leaves. Before this, Bholanath’s puja was held for four hours on Saturday night. This Har-Mund Malini festival of the Hindu community is being held on Shiv Chaturdashi and Amavasya Tithi in the only Ishwardi in Bangladesh.
Prof Uday Nath Lahiri, President of the Crematorium Management Committee, said that after pouring water on Bholanath’s head with flowers and leaves, Leela Kirtan was held on Sunday morning at the Shiva temple.
