Fortis stun Mohammedan in seven-goal match

It was a magnificent display by Fortis Football Club Limited as they came from behind registered beat Mohammedan Sporting Club by exciting 4-3 goals in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football was held on Saturday at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
Midfielder Minhaj Abedin put Mohammedan SC ahead in the 21st minute while after the breather Malian forward Souleymane Diabate, the captain of Mohammedan, doubled the lead scoring the second goal for his team in the 46th minute of the match.
Fortis FC fought back brilliantly as substitute forward Borhan Uddin reduced the margin scoring the first goal in the 56th minute while midfielder Mojibur Rahman Jony leveled the margin scoring the second goal for Fortis in the 64th minute of the match.
Afghan forward Amredin Sharifi again put Forts FC ahead scoring the third goal in the 70th minute while forward Arif Hossain restored the parity for Mohammedan scoring the third goal in the 77th minute.
Brazilian forward Danilo Quipap, however, sealed the victory scoring the fourth goal for Fortis FC in the 79th minute of the match.
The day’s win saw, Fortis FC who registered their second win with day’s result moved up to sixth position with 11 points from nine matches while the traditional black and white Motijheel outfit Mohammedan, who stand at seventh position in the league table, remained at their previous credit of nine points playing the same number of matches.
In the other match Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra split point with Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society as their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football was held on Saturday at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city.
In the day’s match, Congolese forward Junior Mapuku scored for Sheikh Russel KC while Uzbekistan defender Shokhrukhbek Kholmatov netted for Rahmatganj MFS.
Junior Mapuku opened an account scoring the first goal for Sheikh Russel in the 29th minute while Shokhrukhbek Kholmatov neutralized the margin for Rahmatganj in the 44th minute of the match.
After the breather, both the teams, however, created several scoring chances but failed to convert any of those into a goal in the remaining proceeding.
